Cooperation with the Venice Commission

On Tuesday Nikola Selakovic, Serbian Minister of Justice, met with Gianni Buquicchio, the President of the Venice Commission, in Strasbourg. The main aim of the meeting was to discuss the Serbian ministry's legislative activities. After their meeting Selakivic told to the reporters that the representatives of the Venice Commission will visit in January to present their views on proposals for amending around ten judicial laws. He added that the Justice Ministry has already given its opinion on the proposals, including draft amendments to the law on judges and the law on public prosecution.
Buquicchio stated that the cooperation with the Serbian ministry has been good, but that it will now be raised to a much higher level.
