Serbian President, Boris Tadić, awarded the Serbia's Order of the Karadjordje's Star, First Class to Novak Đoković, the world's best tennis player.
The president of Serbia honored an other 17 individuals and institutions on the Serbian Statehood Day. Đoković received the award for his extraordinary achievement and for being Serbia’s best "ambassadors" in the world.
The merit of order has three levels and those can receive it who achieved something outstanding for the benefit of the country. The awarded was designed by Miroljub Stamenković sculptor. (B92, Tanjug)
