On Tuesday Aleksandar Prodanović, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Water Management Officer, said that the Danube River’s water level has not increased nether on the Hungarian nor the Serbian section of the river. He also added that from now the development of major ice pack is also unlikely, since on more ice packs arrive from the upper section of the Danube from Hungary, due to the increased air and water temperature.
According to Prodanović, the melting on the lower section of the Danube will take four to five days, and it is possible that some minor ice jams will occur.
